Nunhead American Radio 28 May 2012 Allen, Jesudason The Voice of Americans with Lewis Schaffer of Nunhead. The only radio program for Americans living in the inner-city London suburb of Nunhead, equi-distant from New Cross Gate, Peckham, East Dulwich and Honor Oak Park. Is there a place more centrally located to the places you want to be?

Our best show ever. We discuss relationships between men and women with Nunhead American artist Becky Allen - the beautiful and wholesome Kansas girl - and Asian-English comic David Jesudasan, who I thought was Mauritious but wasn't. See him weekly at the The Hungry Miller Comedy Club steps from our studio in Borough. He claims it is London Bridge.

Posted late because of the bank holiday and we got the cutout of the show late and I was in Newcastle. Honestly, I can't remember what we talked about only that Chris Dixon climbed under the console to speak into the mike. Good radio, says Chris. With lovely, lovely, Lisa Moyle, our American co-host. 21 May 2012 R. Klein, Dixon - Our best show ever. The Voice of Americans with Lewis Schaffer with only one guest, Nunhead American artist Randy Klein. Two guests, if you count Chris Dixon, who we were able to mike up and he put in his two cents. That makes him very, very happy.

Who remembers what we spoke about other than who is more New York Jewy?  Randy or me? Or is it Randy and I? I still don't know and I am going to stop caring.

And how hard it is to get a guest for any radio show. Chris Dixon answers this query.

Lisa Moyle answered the Jew test and the answer was that she is only Jewish around me!

23 Apr 2012 Shimell, Ricketts. Our best show ever. The Voice of Americans with Lewis Schaffer of Nunhead and co-host Lisa Moyle. Join our guest Liberal Democrat Rosie Shimell from Nunhead Heights. She grew up here and alternated between calling it Nunhead and Peckham Rye! Now she represents East Dulwich and knows it's now Nunhead Heights. And she is only 23 years old. I have been a disappointment more years than she has been alive. Also, my good friend and Afro-Caribbean Bedfordshire-Englishman Paul Ricketts came on in. He subsitituted ably for expected guest Nick McNeill, formerly of Ihe Ivy House Pub

who couldn't make it, and I understand why. He lost his job and his home in the pending sale of the pub. I know what it is like to lose a job and a home - I have lost a few. He's rearranged to be on the show Monday, 30th April 2012. Paul is doing a big gig at the Leicester Square Theatre for my old friend Martin Witts. Martin, call me!

16 Apr 2012 Dilnot Miller The Voice of America with Lewis Schaffer of Nunhead with Lisa Moyle, who was out ill. Our best show ever!  I get a masterclass in broadcasting from the second most famous broadcaster in Nunhead - reporter Giles Dilnot. 

He's a political analyst and reporter for the BBC Daily Politics programme. And you cannote spell program without the "me" in the UK. And is so English he is a vicar's kid. 

This is what he recommends: I don't read the News but weave it in. And two, become more involved in the Community. He's right! But he also helped me by explaining why it is so damn hard to get guests on the show: They are afraid of being with a  comedian. He called me a comedian - which pleased me to no end.

Our Nunhead American guest is returnee Jeff Miller from Virginia. “Virginia is for Lovers” according to the Commonwealth of Virginia Tourist Office. For lovers, they say, which is ironic cause I caught something down there performing in Virginia Beach back in ’95.

He isn’t really from Nunhead but he lives right next to it in Forest Hill, sends is kids to my kids’ school, is an American and is a musician. He ticks boxes!

Happy April Fool’s Day. He he April 1^st was yesterday. 

Our guest is Assistant Vicar Dele Ogunyemi of the The Parish of St. Anthony with St. Silas in Nunhead. We talked about God in Nunhead and burials. I felt the tingle from him - touched by a man of the cloth. My grandfather was a man of the cloth - he was a tailor. This was different.

And lovely Heather Anderson, an American living in Nunhead, who we met for the first time! She lives on Drakenfell Road - steps from Nunhead train station - technically not Nunhead - or is it? That is the - so far - an unanswered question. She works for the NHS in sexually transmitted diseases.

What happens when sex meets God? Listen!

No music at the end of the show but no matter - it was a fabulous show. Thanks to Chris Dixon who almost had a meltdown at some of the shenanigans we got up to.
