This was an experience where we invited a guest back for the second time, a week later, because I made a hash of it the first time. I love this guy. John Fleming, writer, producer, film producer, et cetera is our solo guest this week. I spend most of the time doing the news, as far as I can tell. John is one of those wonderfully messy English people who insist they are Scottish, and who knows me very well, having helped me with my 2010 Edinburgh show and other projects. He is exceptionally articulate and bright yet easy to be around. Only one guest, but still lively. With Chris Dixon and Lisa Moyle.
Very interesting show with Michael Holland, Soutwark News journalist and playwright talking about me, Lewis Schaffer, which is the most exciting topic for me. And Nunheader Tim Siddell, Boycott Coca-Cola Experience, talks and plays a bit of music. I am going to call this one of our better shows, just from listening to a bit of today, 19 February 2010. With Chris Dixon and Lisa Moyle. The only radio show for Americans living in Nunhead. Radio, fabulous medium.
The only radio show for Americans living in Nunhead and when we can't get Nunhead Americans, we get Americans. Here is comic and comedy club owner David Mullholland of the Soho Comedy Club. Also, but by no means second is compere extrordinaire Pierette Socobaz, otherwise known as Nunheader Vivienne Soan! She runs the Pull the Other One Comedy Extravagance at the Ivy House in Nunhead Heights. With Chris Dixon and my lovely co-host, Lisa Moyle!
The only radio program in the world for Americans living in Nunhead. The Second Coming of Nunhead Musician Tim Siddell, Boycott Coca-Cola Expericence and Nunhead American Jeremy Operer, of Detroit, Michigan! We talk about my losing that Radio 4 competition about the best city in the world (no brainer: New York! but no, it lost!). Tim sang a song, Jeremy was funny, as was Lisa Moyle, who always is but I don't like giving her too much credit for the good of the show, and so was Chris Dixon, the producer. Radio!
Lewis Schaffer, host of Voice of Americans, the only radio program in the world for Americans living in Nunhead, welcomes a very special guest - the Nunhead Jazz musician Andrew Myers of ALICE in GROOVELAND. With wonderful Lisa Moyle, co-host and producer, presenter Chris Dixon!
Voice of Americans with Lewis Schaffer of Nunhead is the only radio broadcast in the world for Americans living in Nunhead! This week we are joined by new Nunhead American, the beautiful Rebecca Allen of Ivydale Road! She is an artist, mother and a Nunheader, having moved in from East Dulwich! Listen and enjoy me, Lewis Schaffer, co-host Lisa Moyle and producer Chris Dixon!
The Dulwich Ukulele Club join the Voice of Americans, the only radio program in the world for Americans living in Nunhead! We only have a few of them, and we only get a taste but we loved them and their song "There May be Glory" written for the 2010 English World Cup Campaign! The American guy didn't turn up!
Voice of Americans, the only radio show for Americans living in Nunhead, welcomes Harmony Ridgely, a beautiful Colorado American girl who lived in Lower Nunhead at the time of this broadcast. She, sadly, has since moved, but what a charming girl she was. With Chris Dixon and Lisa Moyle. We talk about how an American girl gets such an American name!
Beautiful American girl Amanda Baker joins the Voice of Americans, discussing how British men treat women and we talk about women, in general. This is a subject which Lewis Schaffer is expert!! Minnesotan Amanda, now living not far from Nunhead Heights, is always a fascinating guest and an amazing person, and listen as the sparks fly! With lovely Lisa Moyle and our resident Englishman, Chris Dixon!
Erich McElroy, London-based comic from America, joins us to discuss comedy and why Lewis Schaffer isn't a success yet in the UK. He also discusses why he became a "citizen" of the UK, as if it is possible for an American to become a "citizen" here (and if anyone is a citizen in the UK, and not a "subject of the queen". With Chris Dixon and Lisa Moyle!) I thought this show went very, very well.
